Well here I am, up early again on my day off no less, waiting for the cable guy to show and fix the problem with our desktop PC connection, which we just had installed a couple days ago. He begged off yesterday after I got up early to be ready when he got here, claiming he had a meeting and was running late, and I had to be at work, so he said 10am sharp today. It is now 1014 and I have nary a phone call or visit. I try to be understanding in these situations, but when one pays for a service and it doesn't perform like it should, those responsible for the service should take care of the problem ASAP. I don't mind schedule changes for the most part, but when I get out of bed expecting a serviceman to show, I expect the man to show.
It's like that episode of Seinfeld where Kramer is keeping away from the cable guy because he's been pirating free cable and the guy keeps telling him...."I'll be there between 8am and 2pm" so Kramer decides to teach the guy a lesson and play the same game.
Maybe I'll call the cable company and tell them they can show anytime between 10am and 4pm and then not be here when they show.
Wait. Then my PC would still have the problems. How stupid is this?
